Ex-Wisconsin Coach Sued By 5 Former Players

Plaintiffs allege they suffered abuse under Coach Marisa Moseley 🏀

If you played sports growing up, we’ve all had that one coach.

The coach that either makes you fall in (or out of) love with a sport. Maybe its two separate coaches for you.

Over the past few years, as the college athletics landscape has undergone significant change, we’ve seen instances and allegations of abusive coaching behavior towards their players.

The most recent allegations stem from Madison, Wisconsin and are contained in a lawsuit filed last week.

Five former women’s basketball players are suing their former coach, Marisa Moseley, the University of Wisconsin, and a school administrator for psychological and mental abuse.

The Complaint

The 51-page lawsuit filed in the Western District of Wisconsin starts with a recent history of what plaintiffs describe as an “epidemic of psychological abuse in college sports.”
