Inside Fernando Tatis Jr.'s lawsuit against Big League Advantage ⚾️

MLB superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. is suing a company that invested in him as a young athlete.

According to Big League Advantage (BLA), its mission is toequip athletes with the best opportunities to achieve their dreams.”

The lawsuit background is pretty straightforward: in 2017, minor leaguer Tatis Jr. and BLA entered into an agreement — Tatis Jr. would receive $2 million up front in exchange for 10% of his career earnings.

Can you imagine what could possibly go wrong?

Similar to other contract law scenarios you may have heard of, all parties were happy to sign the contract at first.

But then, well, you know…

Fast forward to 2021, when Tatis signed a generational 14-year, $340M contract with the Padres.

As you may have guessed, Tatis doesn’t want to pay BLA a whopping $34M.
